Last Saturday, Wendy and a few staff members attended a fundraiser at X-Golf benefiting Camp Good Days. It was a fantastic event, giving golfers a chance to shake off the winter rust and gear up for the upcoming season—all while supporting a meaningful cause. Events like these, organized by those who believe in our mission, play a crucial role in keeping Camp Good Days going. Over the years, we've seen just about every type of fundraiser imaginable—golf outings, bowling tournaments, motorcycle rides, and more—each one making a difference in ensuring we can continue providing life-changing experiences for the children and families we serve.
When I started Camp Good Days, I made a promise: no family would ever have to pay for their child to attend. That promise has never changed. While we never charge our campers or their families, running Camp is not free. Every program, every summer session, and every memory made comes with a cost, which is why we rely on the generosity of others. Whether through community fundraisers like the X-Golf event, our own signature events, or direct donations, every contribution makes a meaningful impact.
Over the years, we've found that no matter a person's interests, there's always a way to get involved. Some enjoy a day on the golf course, which makes our Tournament of Love—happening Monday, May 19th, at Monroe Golf Club—such a special event. Others love cycling and take part in Tour de Teddi, a scenic ride around Keuka Lake. For wine and spirits enthusiasts or those who enjoy a lively night out, our Annual Wine & Spirits Auction Gala offers another way to support the cause. No matter the event, they all share a common thread—a desire to help ensure that children and families facing life's toughest challenges continue to have a place like Camp Good Days.
No matter how you choose to give, every act of generosity helps us keep our promise to the families we serve. Camp Good Days exists because of the kindness and dedication of those who believe in our mission, and I'm grateful for every single one of them.
