Kicking Off the 46th Summer at Camp Good Days

It’s hard to believe, but we’ve officially kicked off the 46th summer at Camp Good Days.

Every time I see the buses pull into camp and hear the laughter of children echoing across the lake, I’m reminded of how far we’ve come. What began as a simple vision, born out of love for my daughter Teddi and a desire to bring joy and normalcy to children facing life’s most difficult challenges, has grown into a place where thousands have found joy, healing, and lifelong friendships.

We have already welcomed our first two groups of campers this summer through the Camp USA I and USA II programs. Watching them build friendships, take on new adventures, and find comfort in being surrounded by people who truly understand is a reminder of why Camp Good Days was created. These first sessions have set a meaningful tone for what is shaping up to be an extraordinary summer.

This week, we are hosting our Rochester Jr. Good Days program, where campers are spending their days exploring local attractions and enjoying new experiences together. In the weeks ahead, we will welcome our DAWG (Doing A World of Good) program, followed by the Teddi and B&ST (Brothers & Sisters Together) programs, before closing the season with our adult oncology retreats—the Men’s Prostate Cancer Program, Camp S.O.A.R. (Supportive Adult Oncology Retreat), and the Women’s Wellness Retreat.

Each of these programs serves a unique purpose, but together they create a place where children and adults can find joy, connection, and a sense of belonging—experiences that remain at the heart of Camp Good Days.

None of this would be possible without the incredible volunteers, staff, and supporters who have stood by our side year after year. Your belief in our mission and the children we serve is what keeps Camp Good Days going strong.

As we continue through this memorable 46th summer, I can’t help but look back with pride and look ahead with hope. There’s still more fun to be had, more memories to be made, and more lives to be touched.

Thank you for helping us create good days and special times—for 46 summers and counting.
