Getting Ready For Camp

As we start seeing the sun more and the weather starts to get warmer, we're all getting very eager about the upcoming summer. There's just something about this time of year that stirs up excitement and anticipation, and for all of us at Camp Good Days, that means one thing: Camp is just around the corner!
For the past 46 years, our summer programs have offered comfort, connection, and unforgettable memories to those who need them most—and we want to make sure no one misses the chance to be part of it. One of my biggest fears has always been running into someone in the community who would have qualified for our programs but never got the chance to attend—simply because they didn't know we existed. That's why I believe it's so important to spread the word. If you or someone you know has been impacted by cancer or sickle cell anemia, I hope you'll encourage them to learn more. Whether it's a child, sibling, parent, or adult—everyone deserves the opportunity to be around others who understand what they're going through.
Another great thing about Camp is that there's a place for everyone. So, even if you don't qualify for our programs, you can still experience summer at Camp Good Days, all while making a difference! Our volunteers are truly the heart of everything we do. Their kindness, energy, and compassion are what bring our programs to life year after year. So, if you're looking for a way to give back, consider volunteering at Camp. We're always looking for more people to join us, and we provide thorough training so everyone feels confident and prepared—no matter their background or experience. Volunteering at Camp isn't just about giving back—it's about becoming part of a community built on hope, strength, and shared joy.
For those looking to get even more involved, we also have summer staff positions available. These roles offer a chance to make a real impact while working in a unique and rewarding environment. Even if you're not able to join us at Camp, there are still plenty of meaningful ways to be part of what we do. We're always in need of volunteers for events like the Tour de Teddi and our Wine & Spirits Auction Gala. These fundraisers play a vital role in helping us keep our programs free of charge, and being part of them is another powerful way to support the families we serve.
As we get closer to the first day of Camp, I'm filled with hope for what this summer will bring. Whether you're coming as a camper, volunteering for the first time, helping with a fundraiser, or simply spreading the word—you're helping make Camp Good Days possible, and for that, I'm incredibly grateful.
Let's make this summer one to remember!
